Owner and creator of both April Love Pro Makeup Academy and Master Makeup Online, April has been in the beauty industry for over 28 years! April is a trained expert in many areas of the beauty industry, from high-end salon management to hairstyling and Global Education – she’s done it all. April trained at the prestigious Westmore Academy in the Art of Makeup and graduated in 2001, she’s also held a California Cosmetology License since 1994. April held the title of Sebastian Global Educator for 8 years and was also a MAC Artist for 3 years. She’s traveled all over the world sharing her knowledge, skills, and love for the Art of Makeup. April is currently the Beauty Director for New York, Los Angeles, and Miami Fashion Week. She was also the lead Hair and Makeup Artist at Ed Hardy and all 5 brands under the company name from 2008 – 2013, as well as personal Makeup Artist for the accomplished owner and designer Christian Audigier. April has worked with some of the best photographers and designers from all over the world, including David LaChapelle, Michael Costello and Jerry Ghionis. Her work has also graced the covers of over 20 International Magazines!
Jennifer Wright
Director of Education
Jennifer Wright has been an accomplished Hair and Makeup Artist for over 20 years. She has also held a California Cosmetology License since 2003. Jennifer has always had a passion for makeup and in more recent years has continued to build her amazing portfolio as a freelance Hair and Makeup Artist. Jennifer’s work has been featured in multiple makeup brand product advertisements and she has built an impressive array of celebrity clientele. Jennifer is currently the key makeup artist for New York, Los Angeles and Miami Fashion week. Leading and producing looks for over 40 designers per season across the globe! She has been actively teaching alongside April Love since 2011, the opening of our academy. Jennifer’s work with accomplished photographer Roberto Valenzuela was chosen as Canon’s premier advertising image for 2016 and most recently 2020.
Myo Lai
Hair Educator
Myo Lai is an extraordinary hairdresser born and raised in Burma. Myo’s passion for hair began in college where he excelled in the arts. His passion, talent and determination led him to win 1st place in the Junior Style Star competition. This is a cosmetology level competition across the United States. Shortly after graduating cosmetology school Myo pursued his passion for hair styling by obtaining a job at Disneyland as a wig styling specialist. This job gave Myo and opportunity to enter the local 706 Union for hair and makeup artists. This accomplishment after just a few years of cosmetology school graduation is almost unheard of. Myo has an amazing eye for detail and dedication to his craft that is unparalleled. Since joining the union, Myo’s credits include shows such as LA’s Finest, Space Jam 2, Goliath, Heathers and most recently Dancing With The Stars.
Ariana Love
Director of Admissions
Ariana Love has been a part of the April Love Academy team for 3 years and has now transitioned to Director of Admissions for Master Makeup Online. She is an amazing asset to our team, having a makeup artist cerification and background herself. Ariana is available to guide our students in their creative journey by offering amazing support and guidance.
